Neysi Perez is, and was, a 16-year-old girl from Honduras, who happened to have one of the strangest things happen to her that we’ve ever heard of!
In a strange turn of events, Perez was pronounced dead at her home by the local hospital’s doctors and finally placed in a cement coffin, only to return to life the very next day! If it wasn’t for her husband hearing the screams from below, she wouldn’t be alive still.
Let’s rewind, and explain — she originally was pronounced dead in La Estrada due to a severe panic attack after gunshots erupted nearby. When her family saw her foaming at the mouth they originally believed it to be due to religious reasons, and called a priest.
This poor girl had to struggle through all that and more because proper medical treatment wasn’t given. After suffering through the panic attack longer than necessary, her body shut down. She was Finally rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead. Now, we know how funerals work so there’s no need to get into that part, so here’s the resurrection part: her panic attack had only stopped her heart for a period or periods of time, or had a cataplexy attack. When she regained consciousness she began to scream, struggle and scream louder.
When her husband heard her screams she had been buried for a full day, bruised and terrified. You can see the cement block her coffin was buried in in the video, I’m amazed that he could hear anything at all!
“It had already been a day since we buried her. I couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic, full of hope!”
Her husband is one lucky guy to actually be able to have the one he thought he lost returned to him; and that’s one lucky woman that he stuck close by! Jump to 4:14 of the video below to see the rescue.
