One retired Las Vegas police officer is claiming that he helped Tupac Shakur fake his own death on the night of his fatal shooting.
The payoff was around 1.5 million. The recipient was David Myers. The job was to stage the death of 2Pac. It was back in 1996 when Shakur died in a hospital after a drive-by Las Vegas shooting. Tupac was coming from the Tyson fight at MGM where he was a VIP guest.
Myers tells a different story of what he says really went down that night. He is currently in critical condition, apparently on his death bed, and he says he wants the world to once and for all know the truth behind that night back in ‘96.
“The world needs to know what I did. I’m ashamed that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world know.”
Myers says he was not alone in the cover up. Suge Knight, currently in prison, was also a central player in the cover up scheme.
Knight wasn’t the only one. Police, medics, witnesses…over 30 other individuals were all involved in covering up the death. A body double was apparently taken to the morgue at a payout of 50 grand.
Tupac’s death has always remained a mystery. Nobody has ever been pinpointed as the shooter and authorities remain clueless on the case. Conspiracy theories about what really happened and about Tupac’s whereabouts have persisted over the years, as numerous sightings of the rapper have been claimed by many. A film about 2Pac is slated to begin production soon, and this latest claim by an actual police officer may be fodder for a script re-write. Does this finally give some credibility to the long held belief from many that Tupac is indeed still alive, possibly living in another country like Cuba?
Just let the man rest in peace.
